Shipfitter Chief
Benard John Sparenberg

Shipfitter Chief Benard John Sparenberg, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, SFC Sparenberg served our country until February 5th, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 36 years old and was married.
Benard died while assisting a rescue detail at sea.
His body was not recovered.
Benard was born on March 27th, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland.

SFC Sparenberg is on panel 05E, line 005 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.


Shipfitter First Class
Glenn Edward Asmussen

Shipfitter First Class Glenn Edward Asmussen, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, SF1 Asmussen served our country until February 5th, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 43 years old and was married.
Glenn died while assisting a rescue detail at sea.
His body was not recovered.
Glenn was born on April 26th, 1922 in Washington, District of Columbia.

Shipfitter (Metalsmith) Second Class
Dan Daily Mc Connaughhay

Shipfitter (Metalsmith) Second Class Dan Daily Mc Connaughhay, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, a true friend and brother, SFM2 Mc Connaughhay served our country until February 5th, 1966 in South Vietnam.
He was 23 years old and was married to his wife Evelyn and had three children (Lisa, Kim & Dan Jr.).
Dan died while assisting a rescue detail at sea.
His body was not recovered.
Dan was born on February 20th, 1942 in Artesia, California.

SFM2 Mc Connaughhay is on panel 05E, line 004 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 6 years.
